Thursday Vibes: Happy Hour & Headliners

Kick off Thursday, October 30th, with something casual and catchy—Happy hour with the Collins Trio from 5 pm to 7 pm dishes up tight harmonies made for that first drink with friends. If you’re rolling in earlier, check out Jim Friery at 4 pm for sweet local flavor.

When the sun dips, the 805 Jazz Jam (6 pm–9 pm) and the Bluegrass Jam (6:30 pm–9 pm) will fill your ears and your soul with good tunes. Want something bolder? Saturday: Daytime Jams & Muertos Magic

Saturday, November 1, gets you out early with Dia De Los Muertos and live Mariachi bands from 11 am to 6 pm—bring color, fun, and family. Midday? Dead Marley Matthews Band, Debbie Davies, Neurotics, Bootleg Brigade, and Spider Baby fill the hours with non-stop hits.

Afternoons are packed: groove with the Dianne Miller Trio, Mack and D, Topa Topa DT Ventura: Steve and Sally Williams, Hunter Little—each lineup brings a different twist for music lovers. Cool off with a solo piano set from Tom McMorran at the happy hour slot.

As Saturday night rolls in, it’s a wild sweep—Colette Lovejoy Band, The Eldermen, Dia De Los Muertos w/ Maclovia, Heathers on Fire, InStone, M80s & Super Freak, Strummed Down all come alive. For a taste of Ventura County’s rock scene, score sets from Pimp Bizkit, Everything Zen, The Seventh Son Band, Jet Lemons, Incendio, The Meteors, Dead Romantics, Jeb Boudet and the Lost Cause.

Sunday, November 2, is for serious chill or wild adventure. Start with Teresa Russell’s noon set, then wander into Camarillo’s music scene at Topa Topa Camarillo with Crystal on the Rocks from 2 pm to 5 pm. Dreamy vocals, solid musicianship, and good crowds.

For something jazzy, the Ojai Pops Concert (1:30 pm–5 pm) brings in Tuxedo Junction Jazz Band, VENTVM QVINTETA Tribute to Irving Berlin at 2 pm makes a smart pick for fans of classics.
